My journey to skin

My career began at 17, training in beauty therapy before progressing to Level 3 and gaining experience within both spa and salon environments. In 2013, I took the step of opening Heini’s Beautique, and over the years my work has naturally evolved, with skin becoming the area I’m most passionate about.

As my interest in skin grew, so did my desire to understand it on a much deeper level. I wanted to move beyond simply treating what I could see and understand why changes were happening within the skin, how its functions could be supported and how I could achieve meaningful, longer-lasting results for my clients.

That journey led me to DMK and completely changed the way I approached skin. The level of science, education and understanding behind the DMK philosophy allowed me to develop my knowledge far beyond traditional beauty therapy. After seeing the results I was achieving, I continued my advanced training and became a DMK MD Technician.

Today, my work is centred around skin health, skin revision and personalised treatment programmes rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. I’m also a Hydrafacial Specialistand offer advanced treatments including enzyme therapy, alkaline wash, peels and microneedling, selecting treatments according to the individual skin and what we are working towards.

Education remains a huge part of what I do. I continue to invest in advanced training, techniques and technology so that my knowledge — and what I can offer my clients — continues to evolve.

For me, learning never really stops — but the philosophy remains the same: healthy skin, considered treatment and results that make a difference.
